Incompetent Presidents a la Howard Dean

Howard Dean seems to think George W Bush is the most incompetent president of our time.

While I'd hate to argue with a man who ought to be able to recognize incompetence a mile away coming straight at him so he bellows in the face of it, I beg to differ about that "incompetent president in our time" stuff.

That position has been all sewn up for quite a while now, and it doesn't go to either of the Bush presidents, and, even by Howard's standards, it sure doesn't go to Tricky Dicky Nixon. No, the most impetent president of our time is Jimmy Carter. Even people in his own party, and that would include Slick Willie acknowledge that when it comes to competence, Jimmy dropped the ball so many times he should have been named Fumble Fingers. Why else would Jimmy have been named "the best ex president we've ever had? And even that's questionable since Jimmy managed to oversee as many blunders out of office as he authored in it.

Jimmy's own mother, bless her pointed little head, said that sometimes when she looked at her children she thought she should have remained a virgin. She made no exceptions, although chances are she had Billy on her mind, and I don't think she was too pleased with Ruth Carter Stapleton stomping for Jesus with Larry Flynt. It's a sad thing when a president's mother questions giving up her virginity so he could be hatched born.

I think it's too soon to be labeling George W Bush anything. History tells that kind of tale, not Howard Dean. Still, if I were a betting person, I'd place all my marbles on Jimmy Carter. They just don't come any dumber nor more incompetent than him.
