Thank Goodness For {Delete}

Wednesday I had the Day From Hell on the Internet. Wordpress and Blogger were both down. Pogo was impossible, and Firefox, that miracle wonder browser (NOT), was just a mess of crashes.

And then Blogmad got into the act. The Shout Box was lagging, and because Wordpress was down, one of my blogs became deactivated. I could not get it reactivated, no matter what I tried. It was the last straw.

So I wrote an angry, sarcastic, mean-spirited rant and posted it here pretty much spilling my guts about all the problems but taking it out specifically on Blogmad.

My first response was from Ms Demmie, and I apologize to her. Since I've deleted my rant, her comment went along with it. It was a good comment, and she has legitimate issues with Blogmad which she expressed a whole lot nicer than I did mine.

I also got a comment from Paul at Blogmad. He very nicely and quite politely answered my issues, and he told me he'd fix my problem with getting Enema Portal For Groan Ups back into the Blogmad rotation. In addition he gave me some extra credits to make up for any I lost the day before.

The first attempt at fixing my activation problem did not work. Paul did not give up. By this morning my problem had disappeared, and I'm now back in rotation getting the hits I wanted.

Keeping in mind that this is blogging we're talking about here, I doubt very much if anyone will consider my suggestion to Canonize Paul even though I strongly believe Sainthood would not be out of line for him. I have become so accustomed to dealing with incompetence, rudeness, and downright hostility from people who are supposed to be providing me customer service that when I find someone within some company who really does want to make something right for me, I immediately start thinking about petitions to glorify that person if only to prove that there still are good guys out there if we are patient enough to wait for them to show up.

So, today, Paul From Blogmad is my hero. He ignored my snarly attitude to simply and effectively deal with the problem. I appreciate that enormously.

I've seen people complain about various services available to us bloggers, and many times, from the descriptions given, it takes an Act of Congress and a written dispensation from God to get their issues addressed. Further, getting someone's attention does not necessarily mean the problem will be solved.

That has not been my experience at Blogmad either in the past or now. The people there with whom I've dealt are some of the best Good Guys around, and I thank them for their efforts to not only continue giving us a free service, but to deal with us even when we're (okay, I'm) snarly.

One more thing....

Dr Blogstein? Could you please, please, PLEASE re-enter your comment? I swooned before and I want to swoon again.
