Jimmy Carter Will NOT Go Away

I can't stand Jimmy Carter. I think it best to get that out of the way right up front. In the debate about who is the worst president the United States has ever had, Jimmy Carter heads my list. He's also on my Dick List too. And he's also near the top of my List Of People With Shit For Brains.

I don't care how many houses the guy builds; I wouldn't set foot inside one of them for fear the ceiling would collapse around me.

The only person I've ever heard talk about Jimmy Carter in glowing terms is Chris Matthews from MSNBC's Hardball. Whenever Matthews interviews the former worst excuse for a President this country has ever seen, he practically drools all over Jimmy and looks at him the way one might gaze upon The Holy Grail. That's why I don't take Chris Matthews seriously any more. Anyone who could look at Jimmy Carter like that needs to have his head examined.

Lillian Carter, Jimmy's mother, once said about her children that when she looks at them she sometimes thinks she should have remained a virgin. She wasn't exactly the brightest bulb on the string either, but I have to give her credit for knowing her kids. If I'd have had a brood like Jimmy, Billy, and Ruth Stapleton, I'd have wished for virginity myself.

But at least her other kids didn't become POTUS. Jimmy did, and he was proof positive that The Peter Principle is alive, well, and functioning overtime in Plains, Georgia.

Jimmy's back in the news because he wrote yet another book, Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid. The guy just will not stop doing that, but then apparently there are people who do read the garbage he gets published. For sure 15 board members of the Carter Center, based in Atlanta, Georgia, read the book because they all resigned their board seats because of it. According to information posted at The Carter Center website, there are 23 people who sit on the Board of Trustees. When 15 of that group resigned, that left the Board somewhat as decimated as Jimmy Carter's thought processes.

On January 23, 2007, Jimmy Carter defended his new book saying that it is accurate and it is needed. He said the accusations made about his book concern him, but they do not deflect from its importance and veracity.

What a difference 3 days makes. Today it's being reported in the Washington Tmes that Jimmy Carter is now apologizing for what he terms, "a 'stupid' book passage." The offending passage states,

"It is imperative that the general Arab community and all significant Palestinian groups make it clear that they will end the suicide bombings and other acts of terrorism when international laws and the ultimate goals of the Roadmap for Peace are accepted by Israel."

I haven't gone into any lengthy detail about why it is I loathe Jimmy Carter so much, but this would be a good place to mention that one reason (one of many I might add) is because he's so blatantly anti-semetic. All you need to do to verify that is re-read that passage.

Now, what I'd like to know is what's keeping the other 8 members of that Board from leaving the Carter Center too?
