Obama For Prez? No Way!!!
First thing I do when I boot up the computer and get online is look at the daily headlines. I did that today, and after seeing THIS headline: Obama Asks Supporters To Help Clinton Pay Off Debt, I struggled for a few hours to: a) control my gag reflex and b) become coherent again.
I can't honestly say that Barack Obama ever really secured my vote, but he was definitely in the running for it. Part of that was due to my "Anyone But Hillary" mentality (I swiped the idea for that from those Anyone But Bush folks); the rest was my being partially sold on the notion that Obama would be different. Well, with this latest announcement of his, any illusions I had about his being acceptable presidential material representing me went right into the toilet where it collided with the misconception that blackmail is illegal for everyone and that includes the Clintons who have always assumed they are above whatever laws they mangle or trip over.
Last week I saw a news article which discussed how much better it would be if Hillary were debt free when she begins campaigning for Obama prior to the November election. The question was posed in the article as to whether it would be better to have Hillary out there on the campaign trail trying to raise money for herself, OR if her talent for money raising would be put to better use if she were debt free and could help Obama raise more bucks. At no time did the article infer any kind of blackmail, but it the idea was planted (for me) nonetheless.
The thing is, since when is it the obligation of the designated Nominee for the presidential election to concern himself with the debt others have incurred while trying to defeat him? Especially when, oh let's say, a $22.5 million debt includes money loaned to the campaign from the candidate herself? Is John McCain worried about whatever losses to personal fortune Mitt Romney had to absorb when Romney decided to leave the Republican race? And wasn't it another Republican... namely Mike Huckabee, who ran his campaign on a shoe string budget so he wouldn't be overwhelmed with debt if he didn't succeed in his bid for the nomination? Then too, there's John Edwards. Is anyone going to come in on a white horse and help him retire whatever outstanding debt he has from his campaign?
The difference between Edwards, Romney, Huckabee, and Hillary is that Hillary has bigger balls. She's just arrogant enough and sleazy enough to try to convince Obama and the rest of the cratz that it is to their advantage to have her debt free. Can anyone in the cratz party say, "bullfeathers"? And if they can't, why can't they?
Finally, the main reason I wouldn't vote for Obama if he got down on his hands and knees and begged while offering to pay all my debts for the rest of my life, is that obviously Obama doesn't recognize when he's being used as well as being made out to be the the fool. Never mind he's condoning the behavior of one of the most corrupt politicians ever to hit Washington like a sledgehammer, is THIS what he considers presidential behavior? There is a certain responsibility that comes with losing, and in Hillary's case that translates into her campaign debt. Yet, once again, she shirks all responsibility and gets someone else do her dirty work for her. Essentially she's emasculated the cratz nominee before he's even been made official. That makes him totally unacceptable as presidential material for me. I just hope enough others see the truth of this to keep him out of the White House.
